Home Child Care Provider

We require a nanny who can help in the care and development to fullest ability for our 4 year old with speech and cognitive delay and behavioral aggression. The goal is direct supervision, full to partial assist and support so that child can become increasingly independent.
Duties would include:
• General supervision and care for child
• Assume full responsibility for household in absence of parents
• Perform housekeeping and cleaning duties
• Shop for food and household supplies
• supervise according to child’s ability; child self- bathing, self-dressing and self -feeding, and helping with age appropriate meal prep and table setting
• Discipline child according to the methods requested by the
parents
• Instruct child in personal hygiene and social development
• Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home
• Organize structured learning activities such as oral direction, reading to child, functional play, skills acquisition, games and outings for children
• Prepare and serve nutritious meals for a child with food aversions (eats only ethnic foods – African, Lebanese and Caribbean).
• Gradually encourage and introduce other foods as tolerated
• Prepare child for rest periods
• Take child to and from school, health and therapy appointments
• Tend to emotional well-being of children
• Help child with homework
• Willing to work nights when child having bouts of insomnia
