Title of position: Long-Haul Truck Driver

Job duties:
– Navigate and drive long-haul trucks, carrying goods across Canada and the United States
– Perform pre-trip route and delivery planning with clients
– Perform vehicle inspections and make minor repairs and adjustments, as well as fluid top-ups and refuelling
– Hook up trailers and cargo, and back-up into docks and loading areas
– May be required to perform loading and unloading duties for some clientele
– Ensure all cargo is secured inside the vehicle according to safety procedures and transportation regulations
– Keep records of travel, hours of operation, cargo transported, and fuel consumed using log books
Terms of employment: Full-time or part-time; days, evenings, nights, weekends; Approximately 40 to 60 hours of work every week.
Wage: $30.00/hour

Education required: Completion of high school is required.
Work Experience required: No specific work experience is required. On-the-job training will be provided for all candidates that possess appropriate licensing.
Skills required: Completion of Class 1/A Commercial license is required. Must be able to travel and operate across international border with USA.
Language requirement: Fluent communication in English is required for the position.
