Title of the position: Construction Framer (NOC 7611)
Job duties:
Work including but not limited to moving wood/equipment around the shop.
Building assembling and fitting together buildings and cleaning work area
Measuring, Cutting, and nailing boards together to form walls.
Installing windows and doors.
Installing metal sheeting and trim for roofs and walls.
Cutting and pressing wood truss systems
Using miter saw or table saw to crosscut or rip dimensional lumber and plywood.
Using reciprocating saws and circular saws for cutting dimensional lumber and plywood.
Using various impacts and drills to install doors and hardware.
Carrying 4×8 plywood/osb products and placing them.
Carrying dimensional lumber to the building area and cutting and nailing into place.
Measuring and marking using the standard system on tape measures.
Terms of employment: 3 permanent and full-time positions

Wage: CAD $21 per hour

Skills requirements:
Need to understand tape measures using the standard system.
How to operate miter saws and table saws for cutting plywood and dimensional lumber.
Able to operate reciprocating saws for trim corners, trim and small repairs.
Able to operate circular saws for cutting plywood sheeting and dimensional lumber
Work and think efficiently.
Ability to do repetitive tasks.
Ability to work on ladders and at lower heights.
Ability to handle dusty noisy environments.
Ability to lift heavy tools and pieces of construction equipment.
Ability to lift and haul at least 50lbs.
Required education: Completion of secondary school is preferred but not required.
Required work experience: 1 year experience in small building construction preferred but not required.
