Job Description:
Bold Butchery and Grill is a locally owned and operated full-service butcher shop and restaurant located in Victoria, BC. We offer customized packaging options and can provide our clients with custom cuts. We take pride in offering local, humanely raised, non-GMO, hormone-free, steroid-free, and antibiotic-free meats. We carry veal, lamb, beef, goat and chicken.
Bold Butchery and Grill is looking for a butcher who can efficiently assist in the daily operations of our business.
Main Duties include:
– Cut, trim, and prepare cuts of meat
– Slice cooked meats
– Grind meats and slice cooked meats using powered grinders and slicing machines
– Prepare special combinations of meat
– Make special sausages
– Cut poultry into parts
– Weigh meats for sale
– Wrap and package prepared meats
– Shape, lace, and tie roasts and other meats
– Sell meats to customers
Employment Requirements:
– Completion of secondary school (high school)
– Minimum 7 months experience as a butcher or in meat cutting required
