Rogers is looking for a Project Manager, responsible for leading projects and providing project management support within the Learning Innovation and Business Solutions team. Reporting to the Senior Manager, OD Business Management, this position will be responsible for managing Learning projects through the entire project management lifecycle, for both Organization Development and for our business partners. This role will support projects that focus on our frontline teams across Customer Care and Technical Operations.

What you will be doing:

  • Lead & manage all phases of the Learning project, from initiation through to closure; within scope, on time & within budget while adhering to project management best practices and PMO standards
  • Develop project management plan, including project schedule, communication plan, issue and risk management plan and resource plans in conjunction with project team members.
  • Manage dependencies, scope, risks, issues and quality, and deliver projects in line with overall Learning approach and strategy
  • Track project action items and initiate timely follow-up with key stakeholders on these items and other project details
  • Monitor and track project progress against project baseline, and report status on a weekly basis
  • Manage cross-functional project teams, ensuring accountabilities and expectations are clearly defined and that deliverables are met
  • Ensure project communications, including project status reporting, are clear, timely and effective
  • Drive and track change management work as project deliverables are executed
  • Ensure project activities and deliverables adhere to internal quality standards including tools, templates and compliance e.g. completion rates and assessment scores
  • Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement by identifying areas in processes that can be improved and making appropriate recommendations
  • Take ownership and accountability on all assigned projects including identifying project team roles and responsibilities to cross-functional teams
  • Work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to business and process changes
  • Demonstrate personal and professional leadership

What you have:

  • 2 years of experience in project management, preferably within the Telecommunications industry
  • Post-Secondary Education; in Business/Education fields and/or similar experience within Learning and Development is an asset
  • Preference given to candidates with a background in Project Management within the adult learning space
  • A passion and understanding of our frontline groups across Rogers
  • Understanding of the development lifecycle for learning projects an asset
  • PMP Certification is an asset
  • Ability to communicate effectively (verbal, written) both with peers and team members, and up to senior level management
  • Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
  • Experience managing external vendors is an asset
  • Experience with project financials tracking and reporting
  • Ability to lead and manage the work of individuals through the project cycle
  • Strong negotiation, influencing and relationship building skills
  • Strong PC skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and MS Project
  • Effective time management skills; ability to manage multiple projects/ teams and consistently deliver against timelines
  • French is an asset
