Location: Toronto, ON
Salary: $17.00 hourly for 30 to 44 hours per week

Qualifications:
– Ability to communicate orally and in writing in English is required
– Completion of secondary (high) school is required
– 2 years to less than 3 years of work experience as a pastry cook in an established restaurant is required
– Knowledge of Japanese ingredients and baking experience in traditional Japanese sweets and pastries are an asset

Job duties:
– Prepare seasonal confections combining Japanese and European flavours such as Green Tea Opera, Warm Valrhona Chocolate Matcha Fondant, Ichigo Mochi Dome and Tahitian Vanilla Bean Cheesecake;
– Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances;
– Plan menus, determine size of food portions, estimate food requirements and costs, and monitor and order supplies;
– Inspect kitchens and food service areas;
– Order ingredients, supplies and equipment;
– Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment;
– Clean kitchen and work areas
