It is within this context that SickKids Foundation welcomes applications for the role of Coordinator, Donor Care.

POSITION STATUS: Casual Contract, Coordinator

AVAILABLE: Immediately

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Coordinator will primarily support and cultivate the development, stewardship and engagement of donors for the Direct and Digital Marketing Team, while also assisting with donor phone and on-line inquiries for the Foundation. In addition, the Coordinator will provide support to the Foundation in line with internal business practices, processes, quality guidelines and departmental reporting measurements. This position reports to the Manager, Donor Care.

The Coordinator will perform these responsibilities while ensuring integration to our core values for employees and volunteers, in order to support the achievement of organizational goals and objectives to further our mission and vision

Required Skills:
YOU WILL:

Respond to phone and email inquiries about the Hospital for Sick Children and SickKids Foundation in a manner which supports the Foundation’s mission;
Support Direct and Digital Marketing and Foundation team initiatives as requested while following business practices and policies;
Provide professional ‘‘first contact’’ with donors by providing exemplary donor service;
Maintain donor relationships through donor care and stewardship activities;
Perform outbound calls for up-sell/cross-sell and further donor engagement opportunities;
Retain/upgrade/educate donors following best practices to help achieve revenue goals of DDM and the Foundation;
Handle all Foundation-related inquiries;
Update CRM (referred to as KYDs) and relevant databases/tools;
Be responsible to meet individual and team key performance indicators as set by the business inclusive of, but not limited to, daily call/email, save retention and quality targets;
Keep the Manager aware of any concerns that may impact the team or donor satisfaction; and
Perform other duties as assigned.
 

QUALIFICATIONS:

While we know that for any job posting no one candidate will possess the qualifications being sought in equal measure, below is an outline of the qualifications we believe are important for a candidate to bring to the position or for the successful candidate to develop while in the role:

Someone with a minimum of 2 years customer service, sales/save and call centre experience;
Proficient in computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel);
Someone with superior communication, verbal and written skills;
Able to demonstrate a high level of critical thinking with the ability to connect the donor to the organization in an impactful, meaningful way;
Resourceful, strategic, service oriented, excellent time management;
Someone with superior interpersonal skills with the ability to understand the importance of fundraising and stewardship;
Able to work independently, with a ‘‘go-getter attitude and initiative;
Able to work collaboratively with teams and others in the organization;
Results-oriented with proven ability to meet goals/exceed goals;
Able to build new relationships with prospects, donors and volunteers;
Flexible, adjusting to new tactics and strategies as they emerge;
Organized with meticulous attention to detail; and
Someone with impeccable attendance, punctuality and reliability, which are a must.
A post secondary education is considered an asset;
Knowledge of working with Not-for-Profit environment an asset;
Working with relationship databases is considered an asset.

HOURS:  9:00 am to 6:00 pm, Monday to Friday (1-5 days a week, 3-6 hours shifts). A casual employee has no defined work schedule, no guarantee of hours worked, and is scheduled and/or called, as necessary. The incumbent has the choice to elect to work when requested..
