We’re looking for someone with minimum experience caring for children of 1 year to care for our two children, ages 6 and 8 in our home, which is a non-smoking and scent free environment. This is a full time position, working 40 hours per week at $20/hr. There is optional accommodation available at no charge on a live-in basis. Note: This is NOT a condition of employment.
Responsibilities of the position include the following tasks:
Assume full responsibility for the household in absence of parents
Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties
Travel with family on trips and assist with child supervision and housekeeping activities
Bathe, dress and feed children
Discipline children according to the methods requested by the parents
Instruct children in personal hygiene and social development
Keep records of daily activities and health information regarding children
Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home
Organize activities such as games and outings for the children
Prepare and serve nutritious meals and snacks
Prepare children for rest periods as needed
Supervise and care for children
Take children to and from school and to appointments and activities
Tend to emotional well-being of children
Help children with homework
