Hiring a Produce Buyer
Qualifications:
– Completion of secondary school is required. (Having university degree or college diploma in relevant discipline is a definite asset.)
– Previous work experience at a wholesale company is required. (Familiar with the Korean & Asian produces at the produce wholesale company is an asset.)
– Proficiency in English is required.
Responsibilities:
– Select and purchase the Korean and Asian produces which best fits the company to resale
– Determine type of produces and quantity to purchase
– Establish and maintain contact with suppliers and negotiate prices and terms
– Maintain stock levels and report them to management
Working Condition:
– 30 working hours per week (Full-time & Permanent position), Wage: $24.50/hr, 10days paid vacation or 4% of vacation fee
– Flexible working hours is required including early morning & Saturday.
