The Director of Human Resources & Safety is a key member of Mowi Canada West’s Senior Management Team and is responsible for creating, implementing and maintaining policies, programs and practices for the function. The Director develops and implements the HR and Safety strategy for the Business Region, ensuring alignment with Mowi Canada West’s overall business priorities, as well as that of the global HR strategy and guidelines. The Director also takes a lead role in working with union leadership to build upon the positive and productive relationship. Acting as a business partner, the Director will work across the organization to ensure a high-performance team environment that authentically represents Mowi’s values of Passion, Change, Share and Trust.
As the ideal candidate, you possess solid human resource and leadership skills, and have showcased this within a complex, multi-site, service-driven operational organization. Focused on optimizing HR’s role as a true business partner, the Director, Human Resources & Safety brings a collaborative and inclusive manner, with a capacity to foster a respectful environment for all staff and key partners. A critical thinker who has demonstrated success building solid relationships with all levels of an organization, you are a dynamic voice at the Senior Management table and you thrive in a multi-faceted environment.
