Job duties:
– Prepare simple dishes and ingredients for meals such as salads, drinks, bread, dressing, seasonings, and sauces
– Follow food prep guidelines established by senior kitchen staff
– Ensure safe storage of foodstuffs and all food safety protocols are followed
– Clean and prepare food preparation equipment and appliances to be used in the kitchen
– Gather foodstuffs from refrigerator and freezer as required by the kitchen staff
– Other duties may be assigned as directed by the kitchen management staff
Terms of employment: permanent; full-time or part-time; approximately 40 hours per week for full-time, whereas part-time hours will vary; day, evening, and weekend shifts
Wage: $16.50-$20.00/hour, based on experience and education

Education required: Completion of high school is required. Completion of 1+ year post-secondary program in food preparation, culinary arts, or cooking may substitute for required work experience.
Work experience required: Minimum of 1 to 2 years of experience in a commercial cooking setting is required.
Skill requirements: Knowledge of Korean and Chinese cuisines is a significant asset.
Language requirements: Writing and speaking English language is required.
