Voyagecare Health Services urgently needs one Health Care Aid to start immediately.
Location: 606-99 Shahi Street, Winnipeg, MB
Wage: $ 17 an hour, 40 hours per week plus overtime pay in excess of 40 hours, full-time/permanent position, health coverage, relocation assistance
Language: English
Education : Secondary Education and on-the-job-training or nursing aide or related education. Completion of Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation(CPR) and First-aid is usually required.
Experience: 1-2 years experience in hospital and home care facility setting
Job Skills Requirements: English verbal communications, listening, create a safe/effective environment, health promotion and maintenance, patient service, training dependability, emotional control and teamwork.
Conditions of Employment: fast-paced environment, repetitive tasks, flexible hours, may render extended hours
Job Duties: answer call signals; supply and empty bedpans; bathe, dress, and groom patients; serve meal trays, feed/assist in feeding patients, take patients’ blood pressure, temperature and pulse; report or record fluid intake and output; observe or monitor patients’ status and document patient care on charts; carry messages, reports requisitions and specimens between departments; make beds and maintain patient’s rooms.
